RICHFORD – Veronica A. Patterson, age 84, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford

She was born in Richford on September 14, 1928 the daughter of the late Fred & Alexsina (Lunderville) Bordo.

Veronica was a graduate of Richford High School class of 1946. In June of 1947 she married Wallace K. “Wally” Patterson; they were happily married for 58 years. Wally passed away in April of 2005; they spent most of their lives in the Richford area.

She was a member of the Richford United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Veronica was a homemaker and mother; she spent many enjoyable years caring for her family. Wally and Veronica loved dancing, traveling and going to their children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. For many years they enjoyed family gatherings at their camps on Lake Carmi, where they were delighted to watch their grandchildren grow.

Veronica is survived by her children, Stephen Patterson and his wife Cheryl of Richford, Stuart Patterson and his wife Audrey of Richford, Laurie Baker of East Fairfield and Lisa Patterson of Sheldon; her grandchildren, Dana, Holly, Scott and Ryan Patterson, Stacy Allen, Kristi Powers, Codie Rushford and Ethan Baker; a step-grandson, Dean Perry; 10 great grandchildren; a brother in law, Harry Hardwick Jr. of Richford and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and Wally, Veronica was predeceased by her siblings.

Veronica’s family would like to thank and express their gratitude to the staffs of Our Lady of the Meadows, Red Stone Villa, Northwestern Medical Center, Richford Ambulance and Franklin County Home Health Agency. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
